Hello parents and students! I am Alex from Honolulu, Hawaii. I graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) with a minor in Writing Composition.

I am a passionate teacher who has taught in South Korea for over four years. My passion for teaching has allowed me to have experience teaching both young and old. From my time teaching university-age students at Mid Pac College on the sunny island of Oahu to teaching six year olds in Yongin, South Korea, I have long been an active, bright, and excited educator to equally motivated students.

I am excited to bring out students' potential through active communication and project-based-learning, and I truly believe that learning English is a key for young learners to join a global community.

I always aim to have classes that are engaging, communication-based, and most importantly fun. My main goal is to give students a safe and fun classroom that allows them to have successful hands-on learning experiences.

I am so excited to guide Biba students in their English learning journeys, and I am looking forward to joining the Biba team in giving excellent English education.

Hello there! I am Alexandra Asbury and I am from Northwest Indiana, USA. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, with a high interest in Sociology.

I’ve developed a great passion for teaching during my 8 years of teaching in South Korea. With the encouragement of my college professors to consider teaching for my future, I found it through teaching abroad.

With my creative background, I desire to incorporate that as much as possible with all aspects of teaching. Art in any aspect is a desire of mine and I actively practice in and outside of the classroom.

One of my teaching philosophies is that we are always teaching, children specifically, our students how to become people, not just focus on their academics. Their emotional, mental, social, and physical growth is just as important as their academic growth.

Hello everyone! My name is Alpha and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from the Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management along with a minor in Anthropology.

As a former dance teacher, I greatly enjoyed my time in teaching young students and that led me to pursue my TEFL certificate.

I have always had a passion working with children and want to continue being a part of helping them learn and grow.

I am super excited to have the opportunity to be here at Biba Kids this year! I will do my best to be patient and passionate in each and every class.

My name is Anna Zuba from New York, USA. I am a certified teacher back in the States with 7 years of teaching experience in early childhood education, ages birth to second grade.

I graduated with a Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University with an Early Childhood Education and Special Education major.

I have received my TEFL certification and now I am looking forward to teaching internationally.

My teaching philosophy is that every young student should be introduced to the tools they need to establish their own learning style.

My many years of teaching have helped me develop a set of styles for different learners so that my students learn and grow throughout the time they are with me.

· Hello dear parents and students! My name is Aylin Destan, and I am from Watertown, Connecticut. I have a bachelor’s degree in business in Resort and Hospitality Management from Florida Gulf Coast University.

·I also received a 200-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate which included teaching business English and young learners.

I am a compassionate teacher who has been working with children for about 5 years now. I previously worked at Korea Poly School in Seoul, and I worked with special education students in public schools back in Connecticut.

I always believe in having an interactive learning experience in the classroom to assist children in truly understanding the concepts and topics. Making things fun and interesting and encouraging speaking and participation will help students become confident in their abilities so that they practice and improve more and more!

I am so excited to be working with Biba to encourage our young learners to love language and to have a good time while learning. Languages can be hard, but with kindness, patience, and passion I hope to teach them that it can be fun too!

Hello there! My name is Caitlin and I am from Northern Ohio. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati and majored in Environment Studies with a focus on Conservation Education and a minor Spanish and GIS.

I was an educator at the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky for many years and it helped me realize my love for teaching. Seeing the spark of excitement as a student learns something new is what drives me. Making connections with the students helps them grow!

This is my sixth year teaching English in Korea, and I am so excited to be here at Bibakids! I encourage my students to be independent, confident, and curious in all aspects of learning. We will take every challenge together so we can all learn and grow to our full potential. I look forward to having an amazing year with some talented students!

My name is Mr. Callum and I come from Wales, in the United Kingdom. I have been teaching at Biba kids for the past year.

I enjoy teaching with our robust curriculum and working to help students succeed. I am looking forward to teaching in the elementary program.

Before coming to Korea, I taught English to students from all around the world in the UK, China, and Japan. Teaching has always been my passion which is why I pursued a degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at the University of Central Lancashire.

It is one of the most rewarding careers anyone could have as you can directly see the impact you have on children as you see them learn, grow, and succeed. As a teacher, I enjoy laughing along with my students as they learn in a way that is best for them in a supportive learning environment. Hello Bebebiba! My name is Chelsea Fuller and I’m from Kansas City, Missouri. I graduated University of Missouri Kansas- City with a Bachelors’ Degree in Early Childhood Education and certification to teach ages 0-8.

Before coming to Korea, I held many roles at a KinderCare Learning Center. In my five years there, I’ve been a lead teacher for all ages between 1-12. I also assistant-taught martial arts classes in the ActivStars Youth Program.

I have a deep love for the early stages of child development and enjoy creating a space for children to grow emotionally, socially, and mentally.

A safe classroom with a lot of opportunities for children to have first-hand learning experiences in fun, interactive ways is my goal!

I graduated from Chichester University in the UK, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, in Film. I am a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified teacher and this will be my second-year teaching English in South Korea. I have been working with children aged 2 ? 16 for 8 years, including working as an English teacher and even as an Art teacher.

My passion for teaching and working with kids has allowed me to experience working with children all over the world; in Ireland, London, Spain, France, the USA and now South Korea. I am a compassionate, well-spoken and hardworking teacher.

Hello! It is so lovely to meet you! My name is Ciara Brathwaite and I am from Baltimore Maryland. I graduated from Arcadia University in the beautiful city of Philadelphia with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. I have a diverse background within the Criminal Justice and Youth Development sectors.

I was a youth mentor and advocate for system-involved kids here in the US for a year. Then I worked with a global nonprofit, the International Youth Foundation assisting with grants management for our youth centered programming throughout several countries.

I also have 3.5 years of teaching experience, after receiving my TESOL certification in 2020. I have been teaching English as a second language to students in China from the ages of 4-11. Additionally, I have been a volunteer at the Preschool that my mother works at for years! I recently completed my 120 hour TEFL certification course as well as a 40 hour training course on teaching young learners specifically.

I absolutely adore kids and love being able to draw a bridge between cultures and communication! My main goal is to create a comfortable and inviting environment so that our students can truly blossom and grow their confidence in the language! Hello everyone! My name is Cienna Libhart and I am from Santa Barbara, California. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience as well as Psychology.

I have also taken a course to receive my TEFL certification with the International TEFL Academy.

I have worked with students ever since high school and have always found those moments special and memorable. Because of this I decided I want to work with them and found myself as a teacher.

Teaching is so special and important because the children are impacted in many ways and will carry the memories they make with us forever.

Nice to meet you, my name is Ms. Demi and I am from the UK. I graduated in Drama and English from the University of Lincoln in 2015, then studied a postgraduate diploma in Asian film studies at the University of East Anglia in 2022.

I have been living in Daejeon for the past year teaching English and I had a fantastic time so I am excited to join Bibakids and teach here in Seoul.

I have participated in many theatre shows and drama workshops with all age groups, so I enjoy bringing this energy and these skills into class with lots of energetic storytelling, team-building activities and creativity!

Hello! My name is Emily and I will be your Mechika Blue homeroom teacher at Seongdong BibaKids! During my 1.5 years at BibaKids, I have worked on Biba’s Research & Development team, taught last year’s pre-Mechika class and most recently taught our inaugural class of first year seven-year-old students.

Prior to joining Biba Kids, I was living in Chicago, USA working at Northwestern University supporting students and alumni engagement through philanthropy. In addition to my work experience, I have volunteered as an academic tutor and mentor for young students with various backgrounds and learning abilities for the last ten years.

Hello! My name is Hanna Argabrite and I am one of the projects teachers here at Biba Seongdong, along with Mr. William.

I will be teaching Art and Science this year; however, I have experience teaching Art, Science, Music, Coding, and Numbers here at Biba.

I am very passionate about art and inspiring students to use creative outlets to learn new things. I am starting my second-year teaching at Bibakids, prior to that I worked at the Simson Language institute for one year. Before moving to Korea, I attended West Virginia University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

I worked as an elementary school teacher for two years in my home state of West Virginia. I am very excited for the new year and can’t wait to enjoy projects and get creative with your students!!

Why I became a teacher: Since high school, I have had the opportunity to work with students ranging from young children all the way to adults. Through all my teaching experiences I have found working with children to be the most exciting and rewarding kind of experience.

Special about teaching young students: With a high attention to detail I’m very excited to pave a solid foundation for our students’ English journey. Hi parents and students! My name is Ms. Maggie Delaney and I am so happy to be teaching here at BibaKids!

I am from Boston, Massachusetts. I graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sport and Movement Science.

While working in the states, I had several positions where I was able to work with and help to educate children in various fields; from coaching soccer to helping young children establish a foundation in phonics.

As a child educator, I find it is very rewarding being able to watch students accomplish and master new skills. When they succeed, I also succeed!

Learning new things can be challenging, but with a welcoming and positive learning environment, progress can be made! I aim to provide a safe space where students are able to laugh, make mistakes and learn from them.

I am excited to help children along with their English language journey in order to help set them up for success in the future.

Hello! I’m Nicole “Nikki” Cummings and I am so excited to be a part of the Biba kids team this academic year. I’m from Bloomington, Indiana, United States. I also graduated from college there at Indiana University with a Degree in Elementary Education.

I moved to Korea in March of 2021 and have really enjoyed my time living and working in the country! In 2021 I had the great opportunity of working in two six-year-old kindergarten classes which I absolutely loved. In 2022, I taught seven-year-olds at Biba. It has been such a pleasure to watch them learn and grow throughout each year. I’ve enjoyed all of my opportunities teaching here in Korea!

I started working with children when I was fifteen years old at a summer camp and developed a passion for working with kids. I worked at the same summer camp until I was twenty and in college working towards having my own classroom!

I enjoy making a positive learning environment that encourages students to try their best each and every day. I can’t wait to bring my excitement toward teaching at Biba kids!

Hello everyone! My name is Tanya Byrne and I am from Dublin, Ireland. I graduated from the National College of Art and Design, with a bachelor’s degree in Textile and Surface Design. I also have a TEFL certificate.

I worked as a Kidswear Fashion Designer in Ireland. I have also studied and worked abroad in a few non-native English speaking countries, so I understand the importance of language learning and being able to communicate in a different language. This sparked my interest in teaching children and inspired me to obtain my TEFL certificate.

I am very passionate about working with children, and I strive to help each child learn, build confidence and reach their full potential.

Coming from a design background, It’s important to me to inspire creativity and curiosity in the classroom. My goal is to create fun and diverse lessons where all students are excited to learn and enjoy their time in class.
